Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology envisions the integration of Space Technology and Space Science educational programs with basic and applied research for meeting the national R&D requirements of science and technology in general and of the Indian Space Programme in particular. The institute provides a vibrant research atmosphere and offers doctoral and postdoctoral programmes.

Selection Procedure

•           Applications will be received until 8th May 2015, only through on-line submission.

•           Number of seats in each programme is 6 (SIX)

•           Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD is applicable as per Govt. of India Orders.

•           The applicants who are shortlisted for M. Tech/M.S programmes are required to appear for a written test/Interview at IIST as the case may be.

•           No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in written test/interview. The shortlisted candidates are advised to make their own arrangements for travelling and lodging for attending written test/interview in Thiruvananthapuram.

•           List of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in IIST website. Shortlisted candidates are required to download call letter from the website (Download Call Letter) (Give link here to the Notifications page)

•           Candidates who are employed in Government/Semi Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies need to produce a “No Objection Certificate(NOC)” at the time of Interview.

•           All the candidates have to bring the challan copy for the respective courses at the time of the interview as proof.

•           Candidates who are selected for the admission have to join the course on the notified date.

•           Classes for the selected MTech/M.S candidates will tentatively commence on Last week of July, 2015.

How to Apply

•           Applications should be submitted online only. Applications received online only will be considered for further processing.

•           While applying online, category candidates should upload the relevant (SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disabilities -PWD) certificate before the prescribed date. Applications will be processed only after the receipt of the above proof online. In other words, non-submission of proof online will lead to rejection of application.

•           While applying online, applicants will not be allowed to make any changes in the profile registration once submitted. Hence utmost care should be taken by the candidate while filling the profile.

•           If the candidate is eligible and wishes to apply for more than one programme, he/she has to submit application for each programme separately.

•           Application fee is Rs.600 per department (Rs 300 per department for SC, ST, PWD and women candidates).
